<aside> 👉🏻 Security of Mapping - Mapping (location tracking) is an optional feature available for organizations to use, and is an entirely opt-in feature for each end-user device. Location data sent to Glacier is encrypted in transit and at rest. Additionally, the organization admin can set a retention period to limit the duration of stored location history.

If the Mapping option is enabled for your organization, you will see a Mapping section on the menu. In this section, there are several options:
Home - This is the main mapping page. The admin is able to view each user and device in the organization, and can see the last known location of each device on this page.
Live Tracking - Organizations and users may choose to enable live tracking for their devices to aid in safety and security. To turn on live tracking:
Open the Glacier Chat menu on the device
Select Settings
Select Mapping
Click the Enable Live Location Tracking slider to enable it
Once enabled, the device location will show up on the console map, and will update according to the frequency chosen by the organization
Historical Data - The Glacier mapping feature is able to visually display historical data points for up to 30 days for each device with live tracking enabled. This allows the organization to analyze historical movements and patterns, and use that data as needed.
Setting - On the Setting page, the admin is able to set the length of historical data retention to be stored.
