Prior to getting started, please make sure that either:
- Your IT Administrator or Glacier Account Representative has provided you or your organization with the necessary log in credentials, or
- You have already set up an account through the Glacier Console and have your credentials
Invitations
Check your inbox for an invite from your team admin. Optionally, temporary user credentials can be provided by your admin without an email address.
Download Glacier
If you haven’t already, download Glacier at glacier.chat/download. Select the version that works best for you. You will need to download multiple versions of Glacier if you want to use it on different devices such as your phone and computer.
Android or iOS
- Open Glacier Chat or Glacier Dial, and you will be brought to the Login Screen.
- Enter your Username and Password, and then tap Login.

During login, you will be asked to allow certain permissions. These permissions help enable features within our app. When prompted, make your selections, and then you will be able to continue with the login process.
- In order to allow Glacier to run in the background, and therefore ensure timely delivery of any communication, you may be asked to disable battery optimization for your Glacier app. Please select "Allow", and then you will be ready to use your Glacier app.
- In Glacier Dial you will also be asked to allow the app to override Do Not Disturb settings on the phone. Please allow this. This allows Dial to ring when an incoming call comes in while the phone is locked. But do not worry, if your phone is set to Do Not Disturb, our app will not ring.
Desktop
- Open Glacier Desktop, and you will be brought to the Login Screen.
- Enter your Username and Password, and then tap Login.
